HOW TO GET HERE

The Bahia de la Luna Hotel is located on the southern Pacific coast of Mexico, in the state of Oaxaca, on a small bay known as La Boquilla. Though we are extremely isolated in many respects, we are only a few minutes by car from the towns of Puerto Angel and Pochutla – and a relatively short drive from the major tourist destinations of Huatulco (40 minutes to the east) and Puerto Escondido (75 minutes to the west). FLIGHTS
There are two major airports located near the Bahia de la Luna Hotel: Huatulco (40 minutes by car to the east) and Puerto Escondido (75 minutes by car to the west). Both are attractive facilities, serviced by a variety of major carriers (Continental, Delta, Aeromexico, Mexicana and Magnicharters) that offer connecting flights through Houston, Mexico City and Guadalajara, depending upon the season. Taxi service to Puerto Angel or directly to the hotel is available from both airports at a fixed rate, but buses and non-airport taxis can be solicited along the highway outside the airport grounds for substantially less.

ROAD
The Bahia de la Luna Hotel can also be reached by taking a bus, car or collectivo van service from the state capital of Oaxaca, a breathtaking if dizzying 6 hour drive through the mountains. From nearby Puerto Angel or Pochutla it is a short taxi ride to our hotel (MXN 100 / USD 10).

WATER-TAXI
Or, for a more beautiful and unique experience, you can solicit a water-taxi in Puerto Angel that will drop you off directly on our gorgeous beach. We can arrange for the water-taxi or you can go to the main pier in Puerto Angel and ask an attendant about a boat to La Boquilla.
